THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
Due to the OVERWHELMING and GENEROUS response from our Southern California ILWU Locals, our community partners, and citizens from near and far, we have reached the limit of donations we can receive for our Maui Relief effort and can no longer accept any more.
THIRTEEN 40-foot shipping containers were packed to the hilt, far exceeding our initial goal and expectations. This is a testament to our respective memberships, who acted quickly with their generous donations. We appreciate each and every individual that contributed to this humanitarian effort, by their donations or their volunteer hours, to make this massive undertaking a success. This outpouring of love and support will be felt all the way to Lahaina!
If you missed this opportunity to contribute, please do not get discouraged from donating. There are several organizations that are still accepting donations of necessary items that will find their way to Maui.
Please keep the people of Maui in your hearts and in your prayers and send all your Aloha to those families who have lost loved ones, who have lost their homes, who have lost their livelihoods as a result of the devastating Maui wildfires.
An injury to one, is an injury to all.
In Solidarity,
Gary Herrera Joe Gasperov Daniel G. Miranda
