NEW POLICY REGARDING DUES DELINQUENCIES
Effective February 1, 2022, Local 13 will no longer issue new Permits (also called “Dues Contracts”) for members delinquent in their dues.
Beginning on February 1, 2022 members who become delinquent in their union dues will be provided with a letter notifying them of their delinquency and that they will have 60 days to become current in their dues. Members who do not become current within 60 days will be placed on non-dispatch until they become current. Members who fail to make themselves current in their dues and are six months behind in their dues will be expelled from the Local pursuant to Article XI, Section (1)(d) of the Local 13 Constitution and deregistered from the industry pursuant to Section 19 of the PCLCD.
Beginning on February 1, 2022, members currently on a Permit (also called a “Dues Contracts”) may continue to make weekly payments to become current. Members currently on a Permit who fail to make their weekly payment will not be able to extend their Permit but will have 60 days to become completely current in their dues. Members who do not become current within 60 days will be placed on non-dispatch until they become completely current. As stated above, members who fail to make themselves current in their dues and are six months behind in their dues will be expelled from the Local pursuant to Article XI, Section (1)(d) of the Local 13 Constitution and deregistered from the industry pursuant to Section 19 of the PCLCD.
This change also applies to Class B Registrants who are delinquent in their monthly Class B fee obligation.
