The office hours for ILWU Local 13 will be as follows:
Tuesday, December 24, 2013 – Christmas Eve CLOSED
Wednesday, December 25, 2013 – Christmas Day CLOSED
Thursday, December 26, 2013 – CLOSED
Friday, December 27, 2013 – CLOSED
Monday, December 30, 2013 – CLOSED
Tuesday, December 31, 2013 – New Year’s Eve CLOSED
Wednesday, January 1, 2014 – New Year’s Day CLOSED
EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING CANCELLED
During the holiday closure, the Executive Board Meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 26, 2013 @ 12:30 p.m. will be cancelled.
CLASS B DELINQUENT DAY EXTENSION
During the holiday closure, the Class B Delinquent Day will be extended until Friday, January 7, 2014 @ 3:00 p.m.
STOP WORK MEETING
THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2014
The regular scheduled membership meeting scheduled for January 2, 2014 will be postponed until Thursday, January 9, 2014 @ 7:00 p.m.
CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR’S PAID HOLIDAYS
Tuesday, December 24, 2013 – Christmas Eve
Wednesday, December 25, 2013 – Christmas Day
Tuesday, December 31, 2013 – New Year’s Eve
Wednesday, January 1, 2014 – New Year’s Day
ALL DAYS LISTED ABOVE ARE PAID HOLIDAYS
Only registered persons who have 800 qualifying hours in the prior payroll year (2012) and meet the availability requirements for at least two (2) of the five (5) days Monday through Friday (exclusive of the days of the holiday) during the payroll weeks in which the holiday falls will receive a paid holiday for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Attention new registrants: As per Coast LRC 12-97, if you were registered in 2013 and have worked 800 hours, you are eligible for these holidays as long as you meet the availability requirements.
For the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day holiday you must work or meet the availability for two (2) of four (4) days that apply to this section of the contract. These days are: Monday, December 23, Thursday, December 26, and Friday, December 27, 2013.
For the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day holidays you must work or meet the availability requirements for two (2) of the four (4) days that apply to this section of the contract. These days are Monday, December 30, 2013, Thursday, January 2, and Friday, January 3, 2014.
Persons intending to take vacation during the holidays must report the vacation to the Records Clerk in the Dispatch Hall on or before Friday, December 27, 2013 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Holidays on or before January 3, 2014 for the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day holidays.
Persons not receiving holiday pay because of illness, injury, jury duty, etc. must file a claim with the Records Clerk on or before Friday, February 14, 2014 for the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day holidays on or before Friday, February 21, 2014 for the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day holidays.

To be available means you cannot pass a job in your skill category or a clerks job.

Vacation must be taken Monday through Friday
