MONTHLY UTR’S
Attention all Class “A” members and Class “B” registrants picking up monthly UTR’s. If your accumulated hours are less than average hours on your respective boards, you MUST take average when checking in. If your accumulated hours are higher than average, check in on your higher hours.
Class B’s can take comebacks on UTR, CL & HL ONLY. No comebacks on Sweeper, Gear or CY jobs.
DOUBLE-BACK DISPATCH PROCEDURES AND RULES

- Double-Back lists will be generated using a random draw. All day members will check in on the Day Double-Back List, all night members will check in on the Night Double-Back List, and all I.D.’s will check in on the I.D. Double-Back List.
- Day and night members may pick up their Double-Back card at the Dues Office on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday before the Regular membership meeting scheduled for the first Thursday of every month. They must be turned in at the end of the membership meeting. NO EXCEPTIONS! Class “B” registrants only need to pick up and turn in their Double-Back Cards at the Local 13 Dues Office on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday before the Regular membership meeting of every month. Barrels will be provided for Class “A” members to turn in their Double-Back cards at the end of the membership meeting. Class “B” members turn in their cards at the Local 13 Dues office.
- A day person who has a comeback cannot take a third shift job. A) A night person who has a comeback on a third shift cannot pick up a second shift job. B) A night person who picked up a second shift job cannot pick up a third shift job until their job is finished. C) Members are eligible to double-back the day after a “no work day” or a “stop work meeting”.
- To be eligible to Double-Back, an individual must be a member in good standing. The member must be paid current on all dues, fines, and assessments.
- A member must have worked or not passed up a work opportunity on his/her primary shift in order to Double-Back. Each person must add his or her hours worked on their respective Board.
- All Double-Back jobs are one shift only.
- You cannot Double up on a Double-Back job, (i.e. if a day person Double’s back on a second shift, finishes early, he cannot pick up another job on the second shift). The same pertains to a night person.
- Any person violating the Double-Back Rules will be handled through the Grievance Committee.
RECOMMENDED PENALTY:
- First Offense- 6 months off Double-Back
- Second offense- 1 year off Double-Back
- Third offense- Indefinitely off the Double-Back Board, and or other penalties the Grievance Committee sees fit.
- All members who Double-Back, including steadies, must be dispatched through the Dispatch Hall.
- All Double-Back lists will be called after all “A” and “B” men, and steadies. All Class “A” and “B” visitors who have not worked in their Home Port shall be dispatched after Double-Back. If a visitor wishes to Double-Back, they shall be dispatched last.
- A member shall pick up only his or her own job, (i.e. one man, one job).
- If a member misses Double-Back dispatch, they may come down to the Dispatch Hall and sign in on the Double-Back hungry sheet provided they are on the Double-Back list. There shall be no volunteering off the floor.
- The Casual Board and Swamper Board persons are limited to dock signal jobs only.
