Only registered persons who have 800 qualifying hours in the prior payroll year 2018 and meet the availability requirements for at least two (2) of the five (5) days Monday through Friday (exclusive of the holiday) during the week in which the holiday falls, will receive a paid holiday for Thanksgiving Day. Some paid holiday notes:
- The Thanksgiving Day holiday pay will be paid on Friday, December 6, 2019.
- Vacation must be taken Monday through Friday.
- Two shifts in one day only counts as one day working. Example: Work Monday day, double-back Monday night; this is only one day of the requirement. You have worked two shifts in one day.
- Vacation must be reported to the Records Clerk by Friday, November 29, 2019 or you will NOT receive Thanksgiving Holiday Pay – NO EXCEPTIONS!
The Officers of Local 13 wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday!
MEDICAL NOTES FOR DUES OFFICE ONLY –
NOT FOR WELFARE AND PENSION BENEFITS
Local 13 has implemented new changes to the policy structure pertaining to medical notes as they relate to the DUES OFFICE, effective January 1, 2020. These new changes have nothing to do with the ADA process or welfare claims for hours toward pension years.
- Medical Notes will need to be received by the Dues office no later than 60 days of receipt of the note in order to receive the reduced dues rate.
- Medical Notes received after 60 days will NOT be eligible for reduced rates.
It is the members’ responsibility to turn in their notes timely, as well as to contact the Secretary/Treasurer or Dues Office immediately if they feel there is a Dues discrepancy.
