SWING-MAN JOBS

It has been brought to the attention of the Officers that several terminals have reported that there are several containers being damaged overseas due to improper cones being installed in the Ports of LA/LB.  Please note:

  • While working below deck, please make sure only stacking cones are being used.
  • While working with 45 foot containers, please make sure cones are installed in the proper spot.

Be aware at ALL times of what you are doing.  Please watch out for one another and work safe.  

 

BLOODY THURSDAY 

SHOTGUN GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 2nd Annual Bloody Thursday Shotgun Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Recreation Park `18 Golf Course, 5001 Deukmejian Drive, Long Beach, CA 90804. BLOODY THURSDAY 

NO TAP BOWLING TOURNAMENT

The Bloody Thursday No Tap Bowling Tournament will take place on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Palos Verdes Bowl, 24600 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA. Check in time is at 11:00 a.m.  Bowling time is at 12:00 noon.  Entry fee is $40.00 (includes t-shirt, prize money and lane fees).  If you have any questions, please contact Rosa Golden (310) 930-3420.

 

BLOODY THURSDAY 

BIG BALL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

50 YEARS AND OVER

The Bloody Thursday Big Ball Softball Tournament (50 years and over) will be held in connection with the Bloody Thursday Men’s Softball Tournament on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Dolphin Park in Carson.  Space is limited to only four (4) old school teams.  If you’re interested, please contact Mondo Porras (310) 597-6378.

 

BLOODY THURSDAY PICNIC

Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Harbor Sports Center

(Across the street from Harbor College)

1221 N. Figueroa Place

Wilmington, CA 90744

The Committee has secured the Color Guard to officially open the picnic.  Entertainment, food, kiddie rides and other various events throughout the day will be offered. 

 

Please note the following:  

  • No vehicles will be allowed on the grass AT ALL!!  If you cannot carry it to your spot, please do not bring it with you.
  • We must disburse the premises when the event is over at 6:00 p.m.
  • Additional parking will be available across the street at Harbor College in the parking structure.

 

This is a family event; we ask that you please be on your best behavior and let’s all have a great time and honor the true meaning of Bloody Thursday.  

 

BLOODY THURSDAY CAR PROCESSION THURSDAY, JULY 5, 2018

 @ 9:00 A.M.

 

All interested members are to meet at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 18255 S. Vermont Avenue in Gardena. Please arrive at 9:00 a.m. to stage the cars for the procession.  The memorial service will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with a procession to the Bloody Thursday Picnic at Harbor Sports Center in Wilmington.  If you have any questions, please contact Angel Blanco at (562) 244-6570.  ALL CARS & BIKES ARE WELCOME
