AUTOMATION PROJECT AT APM 400
The construction permit process has been postponed due to the concerns that were brought up by our members, community, Harbor Commission and most importantly, the Mayor of Los Angeles.
There has been equipment that has been ordered before the construction permit process started and the project CANNOT START until the construction permit process has been voted on in a public hearing which is currently postponed for more information which the community and members have asked for.
The Officers of Local 13 will keep the rank and file informed on any changes during this fluid situation.
FIRST BLOOD MEMORIAL PROGRAM
The ILWU Southern California Pensioners will be holding their annual memorial to those brothers and sisters who have lost their lives on the job throughout the years. Please plan on attending and joining the ILWU family to remember those who have passed. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the base of 6th Street and Harbor Blvd., in San Pedro.
