PAID HOLIDAY
Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday, Monday, January 16, 2017 is a paid holiday. Only registered persons who have 800 qualifying hours in the prior payroll year 2016 and meet the availability requirements for at least two of the five days, Monday through Friday (exclusive of the day of the holiday) during the payroll week in which the holiday falls will receive a paid holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday. This means you must work or meet the availability requirement for at least two days Tuesday, January 17; Wednesday, January 18; Thursday, January 19 and Friday, January 20, 2017.
Under the current contract, one does not have to meet the availability requirement if you have worked 1300 hours in the prior payroll year (2016) to receive Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday paid holiday.
Anyone intending to take a vacation during the holiday week must report the vacation to the Records Clerk in the Dispatch Hall on or before Friday, January 20, 2017 in order to be paid for the holiday. Any person not receiving holiday pay because of illness, injury, jury duty, etc. must file a claim with the Records Clerk on or before Friday, March 3, 2017.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. paid holiday will be paid on paycheck of January 27, 2017.

The Office will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2017 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday holiday.
DISPATCH REMINDERS

You cannot work three shifts in a row. (per Double Back Rules).

You cannot work double back shift without working primary shift UNLESS there was a Stop Work meeting the previous shift.

If you call two replacements in a row (even if they are elevation reaps) you MUST go back to the hall and get dispatched on “men who cannot check in.”(Class A dispatch Rules).
