All members who have been elected to an office or committee, you need to be at the Stop Work Meeting to be sworn in to office.
CESAR CHAVEZ PAID
BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY
Cesar Chavez Birthday Holiday Tuesday, March 31, 2016 is a paid holiday. Only registered persons who have 800 qualifying hours in the prior payroll year (2015) and meet the availability requirements for at least two of the five days (exclusive of the holiday) Monday through Friday will receive a paid holiday for Cesar Chavez Birthday. This means you must work or meet the availability requirement for at least two days: Monday, March 28th, Tuesday, March 29th, Wednesday, March 30th and Friday, April 1, 2016.
Under the current contract one does not have to meet the availability requirements if you worked 1300 hours in the prior payroll year (2015) to receive Cesar Chavez Birthday Holiday pay.
Persons taking a vacation during the holiday week must report the vacation to the Records Clerk before April 1, 2016. Persons not receiving holiday pay because of illness, injury, jury duty, etc. must file a claim with the Records Clerk before May 13, 2016. The Cesar Chavez birthday holiday pay will be paid on the pay check of April 8, 2016.
OFFICE OF LOCAL 13 CLOSED

The Office of Local 13 will be closed on Friday, April 1, 2016 in observance of Cesar Chavez Birthday Holiday.

Any members who did NOT make their hours in 2015 (800/1300 hours) please contact the Records Clerk regarding vacation pay and holiday pay.

The annual membership meeting of the Longshoremen’s and Warehousemen’s Memorial Association will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 @ 6:00 p.m. at 231 W. “C” Street, Wilmington, CA 90744.
