DUES PORTAL
EMERGENCY CONTACTS
Effective today, Friday October 28, 2022, the Dues portal will now have a feature that allows you to enter two emergency contacts. You can access the Dues portal by logging onto https://ilwu13.com/ clicking on Resources and click on Dues Portal. You must click edit under Emergency Contacts to begin to enter your information.
You must have a valid email address at Local 13 to access the portal.
The Emergency Contacts will be used by Local 13 to contact a Members’/Workers’ family or partner in case of emergency. For instance, if a Member/Worker suffers an injury on the job and must be taken to an Emergency Room, he or she may require a spouse or a parent to be contacted.
When a Member/Worker is hurt on the job, the Officers have an ethical obligation to inform next of kin or other close relatives or friends. In the worst cases, reaching out to an emergency contact may be a logistical necessity. There have been too many situations in the past when an Officer has been unable to locate a family member when a Member/Worker has been injured on the job.
This contact information WILL ONLY BE USED IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT/INJURY ON THE JOB.
Member’s/Workers’ please think about accessibility when selecting emergency contacts. Ask yourself, will the appointed person be reachable? Is the contact able to manage high-stress situations?
Fraternally,
Ramon Ponce de Leon, Jr. Victor Zuniga Jesse Lopez
