JULY 4TH & 5TH 2022 HOLIDAYS
Monday, July 4, 2022 will be a paid holiday. Only registered persons who have 800 qualifying hours in the prior payroll year (2021) and meet the availability requirements for at least two of the five days Monday through Friday (exclusive of the holiday) during the payroll week in which the holiday falls will receive the paid holiday for July 4, 2022. This means you must work or be available for two days, Tuesday, July 5th; Wednesday, July 6th; Thursday, July 7th and Friday, July 8th, 2022.
Under the current contract one does not have to meet the availability requirement if you worked 1300 hours or more in the prior payroll year (2021) to receive July 4, 2022 holiday pay.
July 5th Bloody Thursday under the current contract is still a holiday, but not a paid holiday. Persons taking a vacation during the holiday week must report the vacation to the Records Clerk in the Dispatch Hall on or before Friday, July 8, 2022. Persons not receiving holiday pay because of illness, injury, jury duty, etc. must file a claim with the Records Clerk on or before Friday, August 19, 2022.
The July 4, 2022 holiday will be paid on the payroll check issued on Friday, July 15, 2022.

Sign-ups for the Night Dock Board will be available with Records Clerk through Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Sign-ups for Ship & Dock Gang will be available with Records Clerk Thursday, June 30, 2022.
BLOODY THURSDAY PICNIC
Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Entertainment, food, and other various events throughout the day will be offered including: Classic Car and Motorcycle Show, Corn Hole Tournament, DJ, Live Bands (The Floaters, The Topics, Soto Band), Face painting, Balloon Artist, Tacos, Pizza, Photo Booth, Life Size Games, and Bounce Houses.
