VIRTUAL REGULAR MEMBERSHIP MEETING

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2022 @ 7:30 P.M.

 

Brothers & Sisters, although the COVID cases are decreasing, for precautionary reasons, we hope this will be our last virtual meeting.  The Regular Membership Meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 3, 2022 @ 7:30 p.m. will be held 100% virtually via ZOOM.  We want to thank you ALL for your patience as we continue to serve the membership during this pandemic. 

 

Questions & Answers:

 

  1. How do I log on to the ZOOM meeting?

For Class A members to attend, a link will be placed in the Dues Portal 30 minutes before the meeting starts.  

 

  1. How do I log on to the Dues Web Portal?

You need to have a login access to the Dues Web Portal to attend via ZOOM. If you have not used the Dues Portal, instructions are included on the other side of this page.  We suggest you sign up as soon as possible in case you have questions while staff is available to answer.  Once you log in to the Dues Portal you will see a link that appears by your name, click on the link to attend the February Regular Membership Meeting and that will bring up the ZOOM link.   If this is your first time logging on to ZOOM, a browser message will appear “open ZOOM meeting” click the open ZOOM meeting.  If you already have ZOOM, you will automatically be placed into the meeting.

 

  1. How will I be able to speak on a motion via ZOOM?

If you would like to address the membership, you must be on video.  We will not accept phone calls or a blank screen to speak.  You will be placed in order using the “raise hand” feature.  You will have two minutes to address the membership. 

 

  1. How will I be able to vote?

When it comes time to vote, you will be asked to vote “yes” or “no” using “voting poll” feature.  

 

  1. Will I be fined for a missed meeting for February 2022?

No.  Due to the circumstances, you will not be fined for a missed meeting. 

 

  1. Will Class B’s be able to view the virtual meeting?

No.  Per the ILWU Local 13 Constitution, meetings are for Class A members only.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR 

DUES WEB PORTAL

 

The Local has created a portal 

https://ilwu13portal.membership.winmill.net/

 

This portal can also be accessed through the website at ilwu13.com.  Once on the main page click on “Dues Portal”

 

In order to be able to have access to the portal you must have an email on file with Local 13. (If you need to change an email address or add one, contact the dues office 310.830.1130 ext. 1180 or 1260)

 

  1. Click on the portal link https://ilwu13portal.membership.winmill.net/

  2. You will need to click “Request Access”

  3. You will enter all your information on next screen: Member ID, Last Name, Birth Date, Last 4 digits of SSN, and email. 

  4. Click “Request Credentials”

 

You will receive a user name and password via email and then you can log back into the portal you will also have access to make online payments for dues, fines and assessments through this link or ilwu13.com website for easier access. 

 

2022 SPRING ELECTION MAIL BALLOT

 

Nomination papers will be available beginning Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at ILWU Local 13, at 630 S. Centre Street, San Pedro, CA 90731.  Nomination papers must be returned to ILWU Local 13 no later than Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. 

 

ELECTION NOTIFICATION

ILWU LOCAL 13 – 2022 SPRING ELECTION 

 

An election for the offices of President (1), Vice President (1), Labor Relations Representative (1), Trustee (2), Day Business Agent (1), Night Business Agent (1), Day Dispatchers (5), Day Flex Dispatcher (1), Casual Hall Dispatcher (1), Chairman of Stewards (1), Casual Hall Sgt-At-Arms (1), Publicity Committee (3) and Grievance Committee (10).

 

A run-off election will take place along with the election for Membership Committee (16), Political Action Committee (6) and Executive Board (25). 

 

Saturday, February 26, 2022, the 2022 Spring Election ballots will be mailed to the last known address on file.  It is the member’s responsibility to update their address with ILWU Local 13.
