STOP WORK MEETING
THURSDAY, AUGUST 7, 2014 @ 7:00 P.M.
2014 SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATION
The ILWU Scholarship Committee will present their awards to the recipients of the Family Scholarship Program on Thursday, August 7, 2014 @ 6:30 p.m. at the ILWU Memorial Hall, before the Stop Work Meeting. If the student is not able to attend, a parent or family member may accept the award on their behalf. If you have any questions, please contact Renee Olloque at (310) 830-1130 x128.
DOUBLE-BACK CARDS
Double Back cards for both day and nights will be available for pick-up beginning on Monday, August 4th, Tuesday, August 5th, Wednesday, August 6th, and Thursday, August 7, 2014 at ILWU Local 13 Dues Office during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). In order to check in for Double Back, all dues, fines and assessments must be paid (per January 26, 1995 Executive Board Meeting motion, M/S/C – Any jointly registered person who wished to check in on the double back board must have his or her dues, fines or assessments paid up to date – Approved at the February 1, 1995 Regular Membership Meeting).
All Class A members must turn in their Double Back card at the end of the August 7, 2014 Stop Work Meeting. This process will establish Double Back lists for the month.
2014 FALL ELECTION
Nominations will open at the Stop Work Meeting on Thursday, August 7, 2014, for the following offices and committees:
Vice President (1) six-month term, Secretary/Treasurer (1), Labor Relations Representative (1), Health Benefits Representative (1), Trustee (1), Day Business Agent (1), Night Business Agent (1), Day Dispatchers (5), Night Dispatcher (1), Flex Dispatcher (1), Day Flex Dispatcher (1), Sgt-At-Arms (1), District Council (10), and Caucus Delegates (10). Nomination papers will be available at the dues office on Friday, August 8, 2014.
Nomination papers must be turned in no later than 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at ILWU Local 13, 630 S. Centre Street, San Pedro, CA 90731.
Elections will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, Wednesday, September 10th and Thursday, September 11th. Run-off elections will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd, Wednesday, September 24th and Thursday, September 25, 2014. Voting will take place at the ILWU Memorial Hall, 231 W. “C” Street, Wilmington, 90744. The polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on each day.
